Pengaruh Jenis Substrat Filter Yang Berbeda Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Kelulushidupan Ikan Baung (Hemibagrus Nemurus)
Abstract
This research was conducted in January-March 2023 at the Aquaculture Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and the best type of filter to improve water quality on the survival of the Baung Fish. The method used is an experimental method using a completely randomized design with 4 permitted treatments and 3 replications. The treatment used was P0 (Filter Foam) with P1 (Activated Charcoal), P2 (Bioball), P3 (Zeolite) then the fish were kept for 56 days. The results of this study have an influence on water quality, absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, specific growth rate, feed efficiency and feed conversion for baung fish. The best filter media is found in zeolite filters, which provide an average absolute weight of 6.46 grams, an absolute length of 4.79 cm, a specific growth rate of 4.82%, a feed efficiency value of 77.35%, a feed conversion value of 1.29 , the passing value of 90.63%. Then DO during the study ranged from 3.40-7.08 mg/L, temperature 26.3-27.6 ℃, pH 6.3-7.5, ammonia ranged from 0.032-0.127 mg/L, nitrite ranged from 0.077-0.719 mg /L, nitrate ranges from 0.059 – 0.658 mg/L, carbon dioxide ranges from 2.5-6 mg/L and organic matter content ranges from 4.80 – 18.96 mg/L.
