ABSTRACT
THE APPLICATION OF PEACE JOURNALISM IN THE REPORTING OF THE KANJURUHAN TRAGEDY ON THE ONLINE MEDIA PORTALS TEMPO.CO AND SINDONEWS.COM

The riot at the Kanjuruhan Stadium on October 1 2022, after the match between Arema FC vs Persebaya became controversial with the amount of news reported by the online media. The media needs to pay attention to packaging so as not to trigger prolonged conflicts and result in conflict resolution. The purpose of this study is to find out how the analysis of the framing of the Kanjuruhan tragedy on Tempo.co and Sindonews.com and the application of peace orientation, truth orientation, community orientation and resolution orientation to reporting on the Kanjuruhan tragedy on Tempo.co and Sindonews.com
This research uses a qualitative research method with a framing analysis approach. The subjects in this research are the news texts of the Kanjuruhan riot tragedy in the online media tempo.co and sindonews.com which were published in October. Power collection was done through documentation. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction and conclusion drawing. In addition, the data validity checking technique uses data source tringulation.
The results of the research show that Tempo.co framed the kanjuruhan tragedy that caused many casualties and demanded that the parties involved take responsibility. Meanwhile, Sindonews.com framed the kanjuruhan tragedy as a sad tragedy for the Indonesian people. The application of peace orientation Tempo.co and Sindonews.com both explore the causes of conflict and make conflict more transparent. The application of the truth orientation of Tempo.co and Sindonews.com has revealed the truth or untruth of this incident. The implementation of the community orientation of Tempo.co and Sindonews.com has presented sources from various backgrounds and provided a voice for the public interest. The application of a settlement orientation Tempo.co emphasized that the parties involved should be responsible for the justice of the victims and Sindonews.com emphasized that all parties should do self-reflection together.
