Pengaruh Komitmen Guru Dan Budaya Organisasi Terhadap Kinerja Guru Di SD Negeri Kecamatan Pinggir Kabupaten Bengkalis
The success of education in schools is inseparable from the role of a
teacher as an educator. The teacher has a very important role in carrying out
learning in class together with students. The existence of a teacher is the
spearhead of learning, so that the position of a teacher cannot be replaced by any
media. The function of the teacher related to his duties as a teacher is as an
informant, organizer, motivator, director, initiator, transmitter, facilitator and
mediator. The success of education is strongly influenced by the quality and
quantity of a teacher. As professionals, the teacher's task is as educators,
teachers, trainers and researchers should have good performance because it will
affect students. Therefore a teacher must improve his performance continuously
for the success of education.
This research will examine: (1) What is the positive and significant
influence of teacher commitment on teacher performance at SD Negeri Pinggir
District, Bengkalis Regency?; (2) Is there a positive and significant influence
between organizational culture on teacher performance in SD Negeri Pinggir
District, Bengkalis Regency?; and (3) Is there a positive and significant influence
between commitment and teachers and organizational culture together on teacher
performance at SD Negeri Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency?. The objectives of
this research are: (1) To explain the effect of teacher commitment on teacher
performance in SD Negeri Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency; (2) To explain the
influence of organizational culture on teacher performance in SD Negeri Pinggir
District, Bengkalis Regency; and (3) to describe the influence of teacher
commitment and organizational culture together on teacher performance in SD
Negeri Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency.
This study uses a quantitative research method with the type of Ex post
facto. The target or population in this study were teachers at SD Negeri Pinggir
District, Bengkalis Regency, with a total of 358 people. Then the number of
samples used in the study after being calculated by the Slovin formula was 66
people, who were taken by Cluster Random Sampling. Furthermore, the research
trial was conducted on 20 class teachers outside the research sample. The
technique used in data collection is a questionnaire or questionnaire. The
techniques used to analyze the data were descriptive statistical analysis
techniques, inferential statistical analysis and hypothesis testing with the help of
the SPSS (statistical package for social science) Version.23 program.
The results showed that there was a significant and positive effect of
commitment (X₁) on the teacher performance variable (Y) in SD Negeri Pinggir
District, Bengkalis Regency, and the effect was 28.1%, organizational culture
(X2) on the teacher performance variable (Y) in SD Negeri Pinggir District
Bengkalis Regency, and the magnitude of the effect is 23.5%, and finally there is a
significant and positive effect of commitment (X₁) and organizational culture (X2)
on the teacher performance variable (Y) in SD Negeri Pinggir District Bengkalis

Regency, and size the effect is 37.4% with a low interpretation because there is
still 62.6% determined by other factors that are not part of this study.
Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the better the teacher's
commitment in carrying out their duties, the higher the teacher's performance.
This indicates that to improve teacher performance is to foster a strong
commitment within a teacher that this work is a noble job so that it will improve
the teacher's performance. Teacher commitment can be seen from the teacher's
concern, responsibility, interest in the profession, loyalty and confidence in the
profession. Then to improve teacher performance one way that can be done is to
improve the organizational culture that exists in schools such as cooperation,
discipline and honesty. Furthermore, the better the commitment possessed by the
teacher and the more conducive the organizational culture in a school, the more
the teacher's performance will increase in carrying out their duties as educators
and teachers. This means that one way that can be done to improve teacher
performance is to increase teacher self-commitment and improve the
organizational culture that takes place in schools.
