Analisis Kelayakan Pendirian Unit Usaha Pengolahan Limbah Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit
ABSTRACT
Utilization of oil palm empty fruit bunch (OPEFB) waste into briquettes and liquid smoke as a business unit is highly prospective in an effort to provide added value and become one way of handling waste that produces economically valuable products. The purpose of this study is to analyze the feasibility of establishing a business unit for processing OPEFB waste into briquettes and liquid smoke products based on non-financial and financial aspects. Based on non-financial aspects, it is feasible to establish a business unit in which briquette products are sold in the export market and liquid smoke in the domestic market. The availability of 3000 kg of OPEFB raw materials per day will produce 644,25 kg of charcoal briquettes and 314,11 kg of liquid smoke. The location chosen for the establishment of the business unit is the palm oil mills (POM) Sei Galuh industrial area. The management and legality of the business unit are under the management and responsibility of PKS Sei Galuh as the holding company, and the environmental impact has been handled properly. Based on financial aspects, the establishment of this business unit is feasible with revenue BEP Rp1.612.041.347 and BEP units 180.702 kg, NPV value of Rp1.998.261.587, IRR of 30,98%, B/C ratio of 1,92, and PBP of 3,75 years. The business unit for processing OPEFB waste is not sensitive to an increase in variable cost and a decrease in selling price by 5% and 10%.
