Gambaran Eritrosit Ikan Gurami (Osphronemus Gouramy) Yang Diberi Pakan Mengandung Enzim Papain Dan Diinfeksi Aeromonas Hydrophila
ABSTRACT
Papaya contains the enzyme papain, This research was conducted in May-September 2022 at the Laboratory of Fish Diseases and Parasites, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciene, Riau University. The purpose of this research was to obtain the best dose of papain enzyme in feed to improve gourami fish health. The method used was an experimental method using a completely randomized design with five treatment levels and three times replications. The treatments used were (Kn): negative control Feed without the addition of papain enzyme and not challenged by Aeromonas hydrophila, (Kp): Positive control Feed without the addition of papain enzyme but tested with A. hydrophila challenge, and feed plus papain enzyme at a dose of P1 (1 .25%/kg), P2 (2.25%/kg), P3 (3.25%/kg) and challenged with A. hydrophila bacteria. The fish were reared for 46 days. The results shown that the best dose of feed containing the enzyme papain was found in P3 treatment (3.25%/kg). with total erythrocyte 2.10 x 106 cells/mm3, a hemoglobin value 6.33 g/dL, a hematocrit 35.66%, a blood glucose level of 165,00 mg/dL, with a survival rate of 86.66% and a growth in body weight of 2, 34 g, water quality ranges 26-28 OC, pH 6,8 - 7, DO 4,7-5,2 ppm. The papain enzyme has an effect on the prevention of A. hydrophila bacteria.
