Analisis Jenis Dan Kelimpahan Mikroplastik Pada Sedimen Di Perairan Pantai Painan, Pesisir Selatan, Provinsi Sumatera Barat
ABSTRACT
The study was conducted in February 2023. The location of the research is the coastal waters of Painan, Jurai IV district, Pesisir Selatan, West Sumatra Province. The purpose of this research is to identify the type and analyze the abundance of microplastics in sediments and the differences between stations as well as between two different depths. The method used is the survey method by assigning 4 stations and at each station divided into 3 sampling points. Sediment sampling using a 4 inch parallel pipe with depths of 0 - 10 cm and 10 - 20 cm. The results show that the types of microplastics that were found were fragments, films and fibers. The most commonly found are fragments and the least commonly discovered are films. The average abundance of microplastics in sediments ranges from 300 to 446,6 particles/kg. The highest abundance is found in the residential area of 446,6 particle/kg and the lowest in the Muara River Batang Painan is 300 particles/kg. Microplastics abundance at a depth of 0 - 10 cm is obtained on average 323.3 particle/kg and at depths of 10 - 20 cm 456,65 particles/kg. Anova analysis and independent test samples t test showed the abundance of microplastics between the stations and between the two depths did not differ significant (p > 0.05).
