ABSTRACT
Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection Article 4 letter c states that
business actors are obliged to provide correct, clear and honest information regarding
goods and/or services. However, in reality there are @booming_market business actors
who do not carry out their rights and obligations, thereby placing consumers in a weak

harmed by misleading promotions. Second, analyze the forms of legal action that can

This research is empirical research which uses field data obtained and a conclusion is
drawn by linking it to theory. In obtaining data there are 3 (three) methods used first,
conducting interviews with Mr. Dandi Rizanta Lubis as business actor

disadvantaged. Third, conducting a literature review, namely collecting scientific data
in the form of theories, methods and studies through books, journals, etc.
From the research results it can be concluded that. First, as regulated in Article 19

understand more about consumer rights so that they can make careful considerations
before deciding to consume a good/service. Second, business actors who promote a
product must provide correct information about the product. The advertising content

comply with statutory regulations and not shy away from your responsibilities as a
business actor.
