This research conducted at Library Institution and Archives of Riau Province
which have address to in General Sudirman Street No.462 Pekanbaru, which goes on at
month of April until August 2007. Considering enthusiasm read society in very low Riau,
what is because of some factor of like adherence still be oral cultural in society,
despitefiilly also existence of progress in the field of technology, where about our society
prefer to watch television at form reading book. Others also becoming its low factor is
enthusiasm read society is still its lower purchasing power socialize to book. To increase
the read enthusiasm Riau Society to library, governmental hence Riau Province performs
Movement activity of Riau Read. Hence the Writer interested to conduct this research to
know what will be execution of movement socialization read Riau to improve enthusiasm
read Riau Society by Library Institution and Archives of Riau Province.
Research method at of this research use qualitative method with descriptive
approach Data collecting to conducted perception with, interview, documentation, and
the bibliography study. This subject Research is Archives of Riau Province and Library
Institution and how much library exist in Riau Province, while research object that is
movement Riau socialization read to improve enthusiasm read society Riau for data
analyzed. Researcher to use of data analysis interactive model researcher got mixed up
with to conduct comparison to data collected.
From research result, writer conclude that movement Riau activity read executed
by Archives of Riau Province and Library Institution in greeting goodness by various
circle. Socialization to conduct by Archives of Riau Province and Library Institution
called the inwrought team Read of Riau Movement, what descend leisure in various areas
exist in Riau Province. Besides socialization variously movement Riau socialization area
