The formulation of the problem in this study is how is the role of elderly posyandu cadres in improving the social welfare of the elderly in Sibuak Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency? This study aims to determine the role of elderly posyandu cadres in improving the social welfare of the elderly in Sibuak Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. This research has 3 sub-focuses, namely 1) community mobilization, 2) counseling, 3) monitoring.
After this research is carried out, it is hoped that it can provide benefits. The benefits of this research are divided into two, namely theoretical benefits and practical benefits. The theoretical benefits of the results of this study are expected to add insight into the role of elderly posyandu cadres in improving the social welfare of the elderly in order to realize a prosperous elderly community so as to provide a sense of security and comfort in living their old age. And the practical benefits of the results of this study are expected to be useful for cadres, the community and for further researchers.
This research is a type of qualitative research with qualitative descriptive methods. This research was conducted in Sibuak Village, Tapung Subdistrict, Kampar Regency which involved 5 (five) informants as subjects, including the main informant, informant 1 (one), informant 2 (two), informant 3 (three), and control informant. Data collection techniques in this research are document techniques, observation, and interviews. While the analysis in the study includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.
Based on data analysis and discussion, this study can be concluded that, the role of elderly posyandu cadres in improving the social welfare of the elderly in Sibuak Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency has carried out its role optimally. This can be seen from community mobilizers, counseling, and monitoring who have been responsible for improving the social welfare of the elderly. As a community mobilizer, cadres make appeals for participation in the elderly posyandu, as well as socialize about posyandu and its programs. Furthermore, in supporting the understanding and awareness of the elderly about health, cadres provide posyandu services in the form of health and nutrition counseling, healthy lifestyle education counseling, and counseling counseling which always provides a sense of security and comfort and is better prepared to live life in old age. Then the cadres also monitor the health of the elderly and monitor the elderly's visit to the posyandu, this is to ensure that the elderly get proper health care and supervision.
Based on the results of research and discussion of the Role of Elderly Posyandu Cadres in Improving the Social Welfare of the Elderly in Sibuak Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency, researchers can recommend the following:
1. It is recommended that cadres who are access to elderly health services through posyandu to take part in posyandu socialization training in order to increase knowledge about interesting methods in conducting posyandu socialization.
2. It is recommended for the community of Sibuak Village to be able to increase the sense of care, warmth, attention, support, and respect for the elderly and the surrounding environment.
3. It is recommended for future researchers to develop it by using different benchmarks so that later the research can be a more accurate reference for future researchers.
