Implementasi Kebijakan Percepatan Penurunan Stunting Di Kecamatan Cerenti Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi

The problem of stunting is currently a national and international issue being faced, including in Indonesia, which is currently facing quite severe nutritional problems, characterized by the large number of stunted toddlers. The government has deyermined that the prevalence of stunting in 2024 must be below 14%. One of them is in Kuantan Singingi Regency, the prevalence of stunting is still above 14%, precisely in Cerenti District, which is the sub-district with the highest prevalence rate in Kuantan Singingi Regency in 2022 with a stunting prevalence 0f 18,53%. How to implement the policy to accelerate stunting recuction in Cerenti district, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The aim is to analyze and describe policy implementation and identify obstacles in its implementation using George Edward III theory which looks at aspects of communication, reso urces, disposition and bureaucratic structure. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, The results of the research show that communication between implementing agencies has not been achieved,but communication with the relevant communities has not been optimal. Limitations and deficiencies in human resources with a number of skills related to special sub-fields, limited or insufficient financial resources or budgets and inadequate infrastructure to serve the community in accelerating stunting reduction. Employee attitudes are good and disciplined but there are no incentives that provide employee enthusiasm and a bureaucratic structure with the role of local government that can speed up and smooth the process of achieving policy goals and targets. There are inhibiting factors in terms of lack of training and development for implementing officers, knowledge and beliefs of parents and the community regarding nutrition and stunting and lack of clear information received by the community.
