Career planning is a process that individuals go through before deciding on the career they will choose. A student can be said to have good career planning if they have knowledge and understanding of themselves, knowledge and understanding of work, and are able to use their reasoning to match their own potential and the world of work. The real condition and reality is that students at school are not yet fully capable, not yet mature and not yet optimal in planning their career lives. Therefore, it is important for every student to be able to plan a career.
This research is entitled The Effect of Group Guidance Using the Paired Card Game Method on Student Career Planning at SMAN 15 Pekanbaru. This research aims to determine the level of career planning before and after being given group guidance services using the paired card game method, to find out the differences in student career planning before and after given group guidance services using the paired card game method, and knowing how much influence group guidance services using the paired card game method have on students' career planning.
This research is quantitative with an experimental type of research. This research uses the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design method. The subjects in this research were class
The results of data processing carried out by researchers concluded that the level of student career planning before being given group guidance services using the paired card game method was in the immature category and after being given group guidance services using the paired card game method was in the less mature and mature categories. There are differences in students' career planning before and after being given group guidance services using the paired card game method. This means that students' level of career planning increases after being provided with group guidance services using the paired card game method. Group guidance using the paired card game method influences students' career planning with a determinant coefficient of 65%. Therefore, group guidance services using the paired card game method have an effect on improving students' career planning at SMAN 15 Pekanbaru.
