Keanekaragaman Serangga Tanah Pada Areal Tanaman Hortikultura Sebagai Media Handout Pada Pembelajaran Biologi Sma

Insects are the largest group of six-legged arthropods. Arthropods are the phylum with the largest number of members compared to other phyla. As many as 56.49% of all living things in the world are insects. This research method consists of the identification stage, calculating the structure of the soil insect community, and the handout design stage. This research was conducted at the Natural Laboratory of Biology Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau. Meanwhile, the identification of soil insects was carried out at the Biology Education Laboratory of Riau University. The research will start in December 2023 – February 2023. Location determination using Purposive random sampling method. Sampling using the nisbi method is carried out with a trap device (Berlesse Tulgreen Funnel). The results showed that the number of soil insects in the Horticultural Crop Area Found 7 species from 4 families, namely Formicidae, Carabidae, Gryllidae, and Oxyopidae. Of the seven insect species found, there are differences in the number of individuals. The highest to lowest number of individuals are Forficula auricularia 3 species, Gryllus sp 6 species, Necrobia rufipes 29 species, Componotus modoc 50 species, Ophionea nigrofasciata 56 species, Myrmecocystus mexicanus 83 species, Dolichoderus sp 119 species. Based on the results of the study, it can It was concluded that the Community Structure of soil surface insects in the Nature Laboratory of Biology Education showed a difference in the level of diversity in the Horticultural Plant Area in each plant classified as moderate.
