Pengaruh Perendaman Ekstrak Daun Karamunting (Melastoma malabathricum) Dengan Konsentrasi Berbeda Terhadap Maskulinisasi Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus)

Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is a species of freshwater fish that is popular among Indonesian people and has high economic value. The growth rate of male nile tilapia is 40% faster than female tilapia, indicating that male tilapia are more productive to produce. One effort to increase male sex reversal in tilapia is by masculinizing it through soaking in Karamunting leaf extract. This research aims to obtain the best concentration of caramunting leaf extract on the percentage level of masculinization of nile tilapia. The research was carried out in July-September 2023 at the Cultivation Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University. The method used was an experiment with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of five treatments and four replications.
