Implementasi Internet Of Things Pada Protokol MQTT & HTTP Sebagai Pendeteksi Banjir Di Kota Pekanbaru
Information technology is rapidly advancing, and users leverage the internet for daily needs, such as the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT plays a crucial role in early flood detection, acting like a smart alarm where connected sensors in flood-prone areas provide quick warnings as water levels rise. In the realm of natural disaster mitigation, IoT functions as an intelligent assistant that aids in planning steps to reduce risks and losses. With real-time data provided by IoT sensors, authorities can respond more rapidly, guide evacuations, and assist communities in facing disasters more effectively. However, challenges arise, including limited response time and early detection processes. A responsive and efficient system is key to addressing these challenges. In an effort to enhance responses to flood threats, the use of the best network protocols, namely Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) and Hyper Text Transport Protocol (HTTP), is crucial in IoT systems. Therefore, a comparison of these two network protocols is necessary. The results indicate that the MQTT protocol is more suitable for responsive and efficient flood notification data transmission due to its low delay value of 185.749403 ms. In contrast, the highest delay observed with the HTTP protocol is 361.800781 ms. This research provides insights into the superior implementation of the MQTT protocol in early flood detection systems.
