Pencapaian Identitas Diri Bidang Karir Siswa SMK PGRI Pekanbaru
Self-identity is one of the stages where an individual is in the adolescent phase, namely where he is able to understand and recognize everything related to himself. Such as understanding one's strengths and weaknesses, understanding that each individual is different, and having the ability to make decisions regarding one's life choices, as well as understanding what oneself needs. Apart from that, the individual also understands the role he is currently playing, so that forming an individual's self-identity will always be related to how the individual understands the career choices he will pursue in the future. A development experienced by an individual in the process of his life journey which is based on the experiences he has gone through which makes him recognize everything he needs regarding the work he will undertake until he retires from that job.
The research with the title, Achievement of Self-Identity in the Career Field of Students at PGRI Pekanbaru Vocational School, aims to find out how the achievement of self-identity in the career field, the exploration aspect and the commitment aspect of students at that school.
This type of research is quantitative with descriptive analysis research type. The population of this research is students in classes X, XI, and XII who come from different majors. And a sample of 30% of the existing population was obtained, resulting in a sample of 144 students. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires on a career identity scale for aspects of exploration and commitment, then processing and carrying out descriptive analysis.
Achieving self-identity in the career field of exploration and commitment aspects of students at SMK PGRI Pekanbaru, the results obtained are that in the exploration aspect it has not been achieved while in the commitment aspect it has been achieved.
