Pengaruh Layanan Bimbingan Kelompok Dengan Teknik Problem Solving Dalam Menentukan Pilihan Karir Siswa Kelas XI di SMA Negeri 15 Pekanbaru
Career choice is a process of matching career goals with personality and the realities of the world of work. A student can be said to have made a career choice if he has self-understanding, understanding of the world of work, and realistic reasoning regarding the relationship between self-understanding and understanding of the world of work. However, the reality found is that students are still confused about choosing a career after graduating from school. If students choose the wrong career, it will result in less than optimal performance and can result in unemployment. Therefore, it is important for students to be able to determine their future career choices.
This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of group guidance services with problem solving techniques in determining the career choices of class XI students at Pekanbaru 15 State High School. This research is quantitative with an experimental type of research. This research uses the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design method. The subjects of this research were selected using purposive sampling. So that the subjects in the research were 10 people,
Based on the results of the data obtained, there was an increase in students' career choices before and after being given treatment in the form of group guidance services using problem solving techniques. Furthermore, this research shows that there are differences in the level of student career choices before and after implementing group guidance services using problem solving techniques. Then we found the influence of group guidance services using problem solving techniques on students' career choices with a gain score of 0.60, meaning that the influence of group guidance on students' career choices was in the medium category.
