Pengaruh Penambahan Tepung Labu Kuning (Cucurbita moschata D.) Terhadap Pigmentasi Dan Pertumbuhan Ikan Koi (Cyprinus carpio)
Interbreeding between koi fish and other types of fish by people causes koi fish to change their body color. Pumpkin flour is a natural ingredient that contains compounds to support the color quality of fish. Yellow pumpkin as a natural source of β-carotene which contains 1.10 g protein, 0.30 g fat, 45.00 g calcium, 64.00 g phosphorus, 1.40 g iron, 180.00 IU vitamin A, 52 IU vitamin C, 00 g and 1.40 g iron in 1 kg of raw pumpkin. The research aimed to determine the effect of adding pumpkin flour (Cucurbita moschata D) on the pigmentation and growth of koi fish. This study as carried out in July-September 2023 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Riau University. This research used an experimental method with a completely random factor plan and three replications. The treatments in this study were P0 (water fleas without enriched pumpkin flour), P1 (water fleas enriched with 2 g/L pumpkin flour), P2 (water fleas enriched with 4 g/L pumpkin flour), P3 ( water fleas enriched with 6 g/L pumpkin flour). The results showed that providing water fleas with enriched pumpkin flour had a effect on pigmentation. P3 treatment (water fleas enriched with 6 g/L pumpkin flour appeared on the 29th day, meanwhile the control treatment appeared on the 32nd day.
