The development of a booklet based on ethnobotanical values of Siak weaving patterns will make it easier and help students to understand the concept of biodiversity material so that the expected learning objectives are achieved. The ethnobotany booklet of Siak Weaving patterns is based on the provisions of the Merdeka Curriculum, namely Phase E Class X with the Diversity of Living Creatures and Their Roles. Ethnobotanical knowledge with Siak Weaving patterns will be explained in each Learning Objective.
In this research, module development using Research & Development through the ADDIE approach at MAN 1 SIAK in class X, the validation stage involved 4 validators (material experts, pedagogical experts, media experts and cultural experts). Feasibility assessment by experts using a validation sheet. The booklet's practicality assessment uses questionnaire responses, namely responses from students and biology subject teachers. Data analysis used descriptive analysis assisted by Microsoft Office Excel 2013. Assessment of student learning outcomes used questions before and after treatment, while assessment of learning interest used a questionnaire. Data analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 20 software.
The research results obtained are as follows: (1) the validation value of material and education experts for the development of a booklet based on ethnobotanical values of Siak Weaving patterns is classified as very valid based on experts (3,51) and education experts (3,88); (2) the results of the teacher's practicality test show that the booklet is very practical with teacher and student average scores of 95,66% and 85,05% respectively. (3) The results of limited trials on students showed very good results with an average score of 83,15%. (4) Assessment of student learning outcomes was carried out through pretest (before the experiment) and posttest (after the experiment) assessments showing that there was an increase in pretest and posttest scores in the experimental class. The pretest mean score was 56,06 with poor criteria, while the posttest mean was 83,33 with good criteria. (4) Assessment of students' learning interest is also carried out in field tests by distributing questionnaires before and after learning. The results of the analysis show that there was an increase in students' learning interest scores in the pretest and posttest. The learning interest score of students in the experimental class in the pretest from 68,38 with medium criteria to 86,51 with high criteria in the posttest. The conclusion of this research is that the development of a booklet based on ethnobotanical values of Siak Weaving patterns as a learning medium can increase students' interest in learning and learning outcomes.
