Waktu Penggantian Tubifex Sp. terhadap Pakan Komersial yang Diperkaya Minyak Ikan terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Tingkat Kelangsungan Hidup Larva Ikan Lele Ekor Merah (Hemibagrus nemurus Valencinnes, 1840)
The availability of Tubifex sp. is very limited, therefore replacement feed is needed in the form of commercial feed enriched with fish oil derived from the mesenteric fat of catfish. The research was carried out from May to June 2023 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Riau University. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of replacing Tubifex sp. with commercial feed on the growth and survival of asian redtail catfish larvae (H. nemurus). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with six treatments and three replications. Treatments used P1 (commercial feed without fish oil 40 days), P2 (Tubifex feed 40 days), P3 (commercial feed enriched with fish oil 40 days), P4 (Tubifex feed 10 days + commercial feed enriched with fish oil 30 days), P5 (Tubifex feed 20 days + commercial feed enriched with fish oil 20 days), and P6 (Tubifex feed 30 days + commercial feed enriched with fish oil 10 days). Larvae were reared for 40 days with a stocking density of 5 individuals/liter. The results showed that the best treatment was obtained in treatment P5 (20 days Tubifex feed + 20 days commercial feed enriched with fish oil), resulting in absolute weight growth of
1.18 g, absolute length growth of 4.62 cm, specific growth rate (SGR) 16.22%/day, and survival of 88.66%.
