Pergeseran Tradisi Batagak Pangulu Di Nagari Bukit Kandung Kecamatan X Koto Diatas Kabupaten Solok

This research was carried out in Nagari Bukit Kandung District X Koto diatas Solok Regency. The research method used is a qualitative method, which uses research techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews and documentation in collecting data. The results of the research state that the process of implementing the Batagak Pangulu tradition goes through three stages, including before implementation, implementation procession and after implementation. Before the implementation, deliberations were held, namely satuak saparuik and sakaum agreement. The implementation procession goes through several stages, including sipangka sitting, lord sitting and filling in the customs to the nagari. In the implementation process there are shifts in the form of shifts in the implementation location, tools or materials used, as well as the implementation process. This shift was caused by several factors that encouraged a shift in the implementation of the Batagak Pangulu tradition. Factors that encouraged this included developments over time (modernization), education and the economy. These things are the driving force for a shift in traditional activities among the community in Nagari Bukit Kandung.
