Nilai Pendidikan Karakter Dalam Novel Sejarah Laut Bercerita Karya Leila S. Chudori Sebagai Sumber Belajar Sejarah
Efforts to instill character education values in students can be integrated with the application of history learning. One of them is learning Indonesian history by utilizing and using historical novels as a means of character education. The historical novel itself is a literary work that is rich in moral values based on an event that actually happened as a means of instilling character education values in students. The problem formulation in this research is: (1). What historical events are contained in the novel Laut Telling by Leila S. Chudori? (2) what character education values are contained in the novel Laut Telling by Leila S. Chudori? (3). How are the research results implemented in the marine storytelling novel as a historical learning resource? This research aims to explain historical events and the value of character education found in the story-telling novel Laut and its implementation as a historical learning resource. This research is a type of qualitative research. The form of data in this research is in the form of words, sentences, and also dialogue between characters in the story-telling novel Laut which contains character education value. The results of this research show that the sea story novel contains historical events and character education values which are in accordance with the five main values according to Permendikbud No. 20 of 2018, namely religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation and integrity.
