Struktur Populasi Cerithidea Obtusa (Gastropoda) Di Zona Intertidal Pantai Bagian Timur Pulau Bengkalis Provinsi Riau
This study aims to determine the population structure of Gastropoda C. obtusa in the intertidal zone of the eastern coast of Bengkalis Island which includes abundance, distribution patterns and size distribution of C. obtusa. This research was conducted from December 2023 to January 2024, located on the eastern coast of Bengkalis Island, namely in Sekodi Village (Station I) and Teluk Lancar Village (Station II). The method used in the study was survey method. Each intertidal zone station was divided into 3 (three) subzones (Upper, Middle and Lower) and divided into 3 (three) transects, each transect consisting of 3 (three) plots with a size of 1 x 1 m². Environmental quality parameters measured include temperature, salinity, pH, substrate type, and organic matter. The results obtained showed that the highest abundance was found at station I, 240,000 ind/ha and the lowest was found at station II, 33,300 ind/ha, while the highest inter-subzone abundance was found in the Middle subzone (station I), 93,300 ind/ha and the lowest was found in the Middle and Lower subzone (station II), 10,000 ind/ha. The shell size of C. obtusa was found in 3 size groups, namely small (
