Analisis Klaster Kesehatan Masyarakat Di Pulau Sumatera Menggunakan Metode Ward Dan Average Linkage
The public health condition on Sumatra Island and the surrounding small islands, such as the Riau Islands Province and the Bangka Belitung Islands, shows a variety of health situations. This diversity indicates that development in Indonesia has not been evenly distributed. Therefore, it is necessary to group districts/cities on the island of Sumatra according to public health indicators, so that government policies and programs are more targeted and effective in improving public health on the island of Sumatra. In this research, cluster analysis is discussed to group districts/cities on the island of Sumatra according to public health indicators using the Ward and average linkage methods. This study shows that the Ward and average linkage methods obtain two clusters. In the Ward method, cluster 1 consists of 80 districts/cities and cluster 2 consists of 74 districts/cities, while in the average linkage cluster 1 consists of 38 districts/cities and cluster 2 consists of 116 districts/cities. According to validation results, the average linkage method is the best method for grouping public health data on the island of Sumatra.
