Prarancangan Pabrik Vinil Klorida Dari Etilen Proses Oxychlorination Dengan Desain Alat Utama Kolom Distilasi Vinil Klorida (T-102)
Vinyl chloride Monomer (VCM) is one of the chemical compounds most widely used in the process of making polyvinyl chloride or commonly known as PVC. Making vinyl chloride compounds using the oxychlorination process. The factory being established will operate 330 days per year and work continuously 24 hours with a capacity of 125,000 tons/year. The factory will be established in Dumai City, Riau. The company form applied is a Limited Liability Company (PT). The employee work system is based on the division of working hours consisting of shift and non-shift employees. The main equipment designed for the plant is a Vinyl Chloride Distillation Column (T-102) which functions to separate a mixture of vinyl chloride and 1,2 dichloroethane. This distillation is operated at a pressure of 4 bar with a temperature of 46.86℃. Economic analysis of the factory shows that the factory is feasible to establish. With a Break Even Point (BEP) value of 31.28%, Payback Period (PBP) of 4.98 years, Rate of Investment (ROI) of 12.82%, and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 38.99% .
