Pra Rancangan Pabrik Furfural Dari Tandan Kosong Sawit Dengan Desain Alat Utama Cyclone (Cl-101)
A study on the feasibility of constructing a furfural plant is necessary to assess the viability of establishing such a facility. This feasibility study aims to analyze the investment feasibility of building a furfural plant based on technical, institutional, market, environmental, managerial, and legal aspects; to analyze the financial feasibility of constructing the plant; to assess the sensitivity of the feasibility of constructing the furfural plant to changes in production costs and decreases in production capacity. Data used in the analysis study were obtained from literature observations. The analysis is conducted quantitatively based on criteria such as NPV, IRR, ROI, PBP, BEP, and sensitivity analysis. The study results indicate that a furfural plant is feasible to be built with a production capacity of 5,000 tons per year. Based on non-financial specifications such as market, environmental, managerial, and legal aspects, there are no obstacles hindering the construction and operation of the plant. From a financial perspective, the construction of the plant can be executed with an NPV value of Rp. 14,253,357,260,412; IRR 22.73%; ROI 21.71%, PBP 3.2 years, and BEP 21%, indicating that the furfural plant is feasible to be established.
