This research aims to determine the motivation of women to work in the red brick business in Tuah Negeri Village, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research has 2 research indicators, namely 1) economic factors, 2) socio-cultural factors. Once this research is carried out, it is hoped that it will provide benefits. The benefits of this research are divided into two, namely theoretical benefits and practical benefits. It is hoped that the theoretical benefits of the results of this research can provide input for the world of education or economics and science in general in the field of community and tertiary education, especially regarding the motivation of women to work in red brick businesses. And it is hoped that the practical benefits of the results of this research will be useful for owners, workers and future researchers. This research is a type of qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive method. This research was carried out at the Red Brick Business in Tuah Negeri Village, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City involving 3 core informants and 2 supporting informants as research subjects. The data collection techniques used in this research are document techniques, observation and interviews. Meanwhile, analysis in research includes data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and triangulation. Based on data analysis and discussion, this research can be concluded that the motivation of women to work in the red brick business in Tuah Negeri Village, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City is due to urgent economic factors as well as socio-cultural factors with limited age and education.
