Isolasi Dan Uji Toksisitas Senyawa Metabolit Sekunder Fraksi 8 Ekstrak Metanol Dari Batang Benalu Teh Loranthus Ferrugineus
Loranthus ferrugineus is a plant that grows on tea as a host. It belongs to the Loranthaceae family and has been used as a medicinal plant. The leaves and stems of L. ferrugineus contain various chemical constituents with several biological activities. According to various studies, L. ferrugineus contains secondary metabolites such as alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, terpenoids, and tannins. These compounds have been found to exhibit biological activities including anticancer, antimicrobial, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. The objective of this research is to isolate and characterize pure compounds obtained from the methanol extract of L. ferrugineus stems, as well as to conduct toxicity tests on these pure compounds using the brine shrimp lethality test (BSLT) method. The research employed the maceration method with methanol as a solvent to obtain plant extracts.
