ABSTRACT
Competition is a social process carried out by individuals and groups to become the center of attention by sharpening social prejudices without violence or threats. This research aims to determine the forms of competition between juice and Pop ice drink sellers at the Taman Jalur tourism. Competition is a form of disassociative social interaction that occurs between traders. This research is a type of qualitative research that is descriptive in nature. Informants were determined using purposive sampling technique. The subjects in this research were 8 people consisting of 5 juice and Pop ice sellers, 2 buyers and 1 chairman of the Taman Jalur Sallers Association. Data collection was carried out using interviews, observation and documentation stages. Data analysis in this research was carried out descriptively and systematically structured with stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the research explain that the form of social interaction that occurs with sellers is seen from the form of service provided, location and also promotions carried out by sellers. Interactions caused by location competition occur between sellers and reach the stage of conflict which is caused by the attitude of the traders themselves.
