Penggunaan Limbah Padat Pulp Green Liquor Dregs Dan Slaker Grits Di Pt. Indah Kiat Pulp And Paper Untuk Aplikasi Produksi Batu Bata (Brick)
Green liquor dregs and slaker grits are alkaline inorganic waste derived from the recycling process of pulp and paper mills. The composition of compounds in waste there are SiO2, Al2O3 and CaO which are important components of construction materials. The method used in this study is burning. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of adding solid waste pulp green liquor dregs and slaker grits to mortar on water absorption and compressive strength of bricks, then analyze the chemical content of solid waste pulp green liquor dregs and slaker grits and analyze the chemical content of brick products and analyze the chemical morphology of solid wastepulp green liquor dregs and slaker grits, normal bricks and brick products with sample addition. The test results of brick water absorption with the addition of 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% solid waste of green liquor dregs pulp and slaker grits were 18.2%, 18.0%, 19.2% and 19.5%. The compressive strength testing of bricks in the addition of 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% solid waste pulp green liquor dregs and slaker grits is 4.7 MPa, 5.1 MPa, 4.6 MPa, 4.5 MPa. From the above tests, it can be concluded that the addition of solid pulp waste to the mortar can produce quality bricks according to SNI 10.1978 and SNI-15-2094-2000.
