Respon Beberapa Varietas Tanaman Kedelai (Glycine Max (L.) Merril) Terhadap Berbagai Dosis Pupuk Futura Batubara
NADIA RAHMI ANWAR, NIM 2010241681, Response of Several Soybean Plant Varieties (Glycine Max (L.) Merril) to Various Doses of Futura Batubara Fertilizer, supervised by Deviona and Nelvia.
Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill)as a source of protein and functional food has strategic value in increasing national food security.Soybeans are classified as legumes which are a source of protein, fat and vitamins, every 100 g of soybean seeds on average contains 330 calories, 35% protein, 18% fat, 35% carbohydrates, 10% water and several minerals such as Ca, Fe, vitamin A and vitamin B1 (Pato and Yusmarini, 2002).
Badan Ketahanan Pangan Indonesia (2023) notes that the need for soybeans in Indonesia in 2022 will still require imports of soybeans. Badan Pusat Statistik noted that Indonesia imported 2.32 million tonnes of soybeans from countries such as the United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil and Malaysia.
The cause of low soybean production in Indonesia is a decrease in soil fertility and the use of varieties that have low productivity. Selection of varieties balanced with the application of appropriate fertilizer can increase soybean yields optimally. This research aims to determine the response of six soybean varieties planted to various doses of Futura Batubara fertilizer so that it can be seen which characters have the best response to be used by farmers.
This research was carried out experimentally in a 6x5 factorial form using a completely random split plot design (RPT). The main plot was a variety and the sub plot was the dose of coal futura fertilizer, each treatment was repeated three times to obtain 90 experimental units and each experimental unit consisted of 40 plants with ten plants being sampled. The parameters observed were flowering age, harvest age, plant height, total number of pods per plant, number of pithy pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed weight per plant, seed weight per m2, seed weight per hectare, weight of 100 seeds and analysis protein levels. The research data were analyzed statistically using variance and further tested using Duncan's multiple distance test at the 5% level to then determine the components of diversity and heritability of soybeans.
The single factor of variety and the interaction of variety with Futura coal fertilizer was proven to have an influence on all observed parameters. The single factor of coal futura had an influence on all parameters except plant height and number of seeds per plant. Observation of the interaction effect, where all soybean plant varieties (Dering 1, Malika, Argopuro, Dena 1, Detam 1) except Demas 1 which showed the best response to the application of Futura Batubara fertilizer at a dose of 200 kg.ha-1, 600 kg.ha-1 and 800 kg.ha-1. The Demas 1 variety showed the best response to Futura Batubara fertilizer dose of 400 kg.ha-1. The soybean variety that showed the highest average protein content was the Detam 1 for all treatment doses of Futura Batubara.
