Analisa Residual Carbonat Menggunakan Metoda Ahlstrom Dan Econotech

This report presents an analysis of carbonate residuals in limestone used by PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper in the pulp and paper production process, using two test methods: Ahlstrom and Econotech. The background to this research is based on the importance of limestone quality as the main raw material in production as well as the company's need to ensure efficiency and quality of production results. The Ahlstrom method has long been used by companies, but since 2015, the Econotech method was added to meet the quality standards desired by consumers. This research aims to compare the results of carbonate residual analysis and available CaO between the two methods, as well as looking for correlations between the results obtained. The test results show significant differences between the two methods, where the Econotech method tends to produce higher data. This imbalance in results raises various considerations from customers and corporate laboratories. This report also explores the effectiveness of both methods in optimizing the use of raw materials and their impact on the company's operational efficiency. In addition, evaluation of method suitability with applicable industry standards was also discussed to provide recommendations to increase customer trust and support the pulp and paper industry's sustainability agenda.The objectives of this research include studying the differences in results between the Ahlstrom and Econotech methods, comparing the two methods, and looking for correlations in the analysis results of the two methods. The benefits of this research are expected to provide more accurate data, increase customer trust, and meet the needs of the company's educational curriculum and business sustainability.
