Hubungan Menonton Video Porno Dengan Aktivitas Seksual Pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Dan Ilmu Politik Univeritas Riau

This study aims to determine the extent of the relationship between watching pornography videos and sexual activity among students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at the University of Riau, Class of 2020. The theory used in this study employs symbolic interactionism theory. The prominent figure in symbolic interactionism theory in sociology is George Herbert Mead. The second theory used is cultivation theory developed by George Gerbner in the 1970s. The method used is the questionnaire survey method with quantitative data analysis processing. This research can be conducted using the proportional sampling technique, which is employed when the research aims to obtain a sample that reflects the same proportions or comparisons from a specific group or category within a larger population. Data is collected by distributing questionnaire surveys and also through observation to complement data collection. The research location is in the FISIP area of the University of Riau, Simpang Baru sub-district, with a total of 94 student respondents. Data processing analysis is done using SPSS version 26. The results of the study found that the correlation between watching pornography videos and sexual activity is very high, as indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.956 with a low significant value of 0.000. It can be concluded that in the sampled population, there is a very strong positive relationship between the two variables.
