Dampak Pemindahan Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (Tpa) Dari Rw 05 Ke Rw 04 Terhadap Masyarakat Rw 05 Kelurahan Muara Fajar Timur Kecamatan Rumbai Kota Pekanbaru

This research aims to determine the positive and negative impacts of the landfill translocation on the community. This research used quantitative descriptive method and involved 60 informants who were residents of RW 05 RT 1-3 Muara Fajar Timur Village, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City. Determining informants using the Simple Random Sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results of this research show that the positive impact caused by landfill translocation is that the frequency of environmental pollution becomes smaller so that people become more comfortable. The negative impact caused by the lanfill translocation was that with the presence of a new TPA, some of the respondents had difficulty accessing the new TPA because there were no vehicles due to the relatively long distance between the new and old TPA.
