Perilaku Remaja Terhadap Ruang Terbuka Hijau Hutan Kota Pekanbaru

This research aims to determine adolescent behavior towards the green open space of the Pekanbaru city forest and what factors influence adolescent behavior towards the city forest, using the theory of Public Space according to Jürgen Habermas and the Concept of Space according to Henri Lefebvre. This research is a type of quantitative research with descriptive analysis. The population is teenagers who visit the Pekanbaru city forest more than twice. The sampling technique used was a total of 96 people. The data collection technique used was structured interviews with research instruments in the form of questionnaires, observation techniques and documentation. Data analysis in this research uses descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this research show that the Pekanbaru city forest is more often or more dominantly used by teenagers as an arena for socialization rather than for recreation and sports activities, discussions and education, or as an arena for conflict and teenagers who use it tend to have a positive level of behavior. The factors that influence teenagers' behavior towards urban forests, especially the level of education, have a significant influence on teenagers' behavior in the use and maintenance of urban forests. Meanwhile, the level of knowledge about the functions and benefits of urban forests also influences adolescent behavior. Adolescents with higher levels of education tend to have a better understanding of the importance of green open spaces and show more positive behavior. Meanwhile, teenagers who have high knowledge are more likely to support environmental preservation. The frequency of visits to urban forests also influences adolescent behavior in supporting the maintenance and use of green spaces. Adolescents who frequently visit urban forests show more positive behavior than those who rarely visit.
