Faktor – Faktor Penyebab Anak Putus Sekolah Di Sekolah Menengah Atas Kelurahan Titian Antui Kecamatan Pinggir Kabupaten Bengkalis

This research was conducted in Titian Antui Village, Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency with the aim of finding out the factors that cause children to drop out of school and knowing the process of implementing family functions. In determining research subjects using criteria determined by the researcher or what is called a purposive sampling technique. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The number of subjects in the research was six people. The theory used is the Functional Structural Theory from Robert K. Merton. The results of this research state that the factors causing children to drop out of school consist of social factors, lack of interest, lack of attention and divorce. Then this research shows
the process of implementing family functions that run within the family, namely the socialization function, affection function, protection function, economic function and status determination function. However, the affection function does not fully function in providing more love and attention to children, because parents are busy working, unable to divide their time.
causing a lack of attention from parents, making children seek attention from their playmates and it is not uncommon for teenagers to follow their friends' behavior can influence the child's own behavior.
