Modal Sosial Pedagang Usaha Kerupuk Sagu Di Desa Pulau Godang Kari Kecamatan Kuantan Tengah Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi
Sago cracker traders from Pulau Godang Kari Village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency have been establishing their businesses for years and have survived until now, this can survive and develop inseparable from the social capital they already have. This research was conducted in Pulau Godang Kari Village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, with the aim of; to determine the elements of social capital and how sago cracker traders in Pulau Village develop their businesses. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, using a purposive sampling technique in taking subjects, the subjects numbered 5 people, namely all sago cracker traders in Pulau Godang Kari Village. Data collection techniques use observation, interview and documentation techniques. The theory used in this study is the theory of social capital, using Robert D. Putnam's theory. The results of this study are that there are elements of social capital in sago cracker traders, namely social networks, norms, and trust. With the existence of social capital, good relationships and cooperation can be established between fellow sago cracker traders, sago cracker traders with suppliers, sago cracker traders with retailers. With the existence of a network, it can make the business run more smoothly and develop. The existence of norms can make the cooperation that is established can be directed and organized. And trust that can strengthen the cooperative relationship between traders, suppliers, and retailers/customers. To develop the business, sago cracker traders do it by marketing sago crackers, opening stalls in the market, promoting more widely, so they can develop their business.
