Strategi Pemanenan Air Hujan Skala Rumah Tangga Sebagai Upaya Pemenuhan Air Bersih Masyarakat Perdesaan Di Desa Alai Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Barat Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti
This research aims to determine the existing condition of clean water sources on a household scale, determine the implementation of a rainwater harvesting system on a household scale and formulate a strategy for implementing a rainwater harvesting system to fullfil the clean water needs of rural communities in Alai Village, West Tebing Tinggi District, Kepulauan Meranti Regency. The research carried out was quantitative descriptive research using a survey method. The data analyzed includes rainfall levels, number of rainy days, DDDTLH JE (Environmental Carrying Capacity and Capacity for Ecosystem Services), population growth projections, community socio-economics as well as analyzing the most effective strategies to be implemented in meeting the clean water needs of rural communities in the Alai village using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method.
The results of the research show that rainfall levels in the 2019-2021 period include 2 dry months (rainfall 100 mm) with this data making The research area is in type C climate conditions (rather wet) based on the Schimdt-Ferguson climate classification.The condition of DDDTLH JE shows that water supply and water flow management are still low. The socio-economic conditions of the community at the research location are generally at the middle and lower middle levels so that in collecting rainwater, the community uses the roof as a catchment area and flows it into a storage tank in the form of a polytank. The need for water used with the rainwater harvesting system cannot yet meet the community's clean water needs due to limited water capacity in storage tanks. The most effective strategy to implement to meet the clean water needs of the community in Alai Village is through collaboration or synergy between the parties (government, business world and community) by providing assistance in the form of providing rainwater harvesting facilities in the form of polytanks so that they can maximize the rainwater harvesting that they already have by society (exsisting)
