Histopatologi Usus Dan Hati Ikan Jambal Siam (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) Akibat Pemberian Pakan Yang Diperkaya Jamu Fermentasi Dan Diujitantang Edwardsiella tarda
Pangasianodon hypophthalmus is a freshwater fish that is in great demand by the public, has high economic value and fast growth. This research was carried out from June to December 2023 at the Fish Parasite and Disease Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University. The purpose of this research analyze was to determine the structure of the intestine and liver tissue of Pangasianodon hypophthalmus fed with fermented herbs enriched pellets at different times before and infected with Edwardsiella tarda. The method used was an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor, 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment applied are Kn: Negative control (Fed without fermented herbs and without being infected with E. tarda), Kp: Positive control (Fed without fermented herbs and infected with E. tarda), P1: 1 time in 3 days, P2: 1 time in 5 days, P3: 1 time in 7 days. P1, P2, and P3 infected with E. tarda. Adding fermented herbs to feed at a dose of 200 mL/kg feed. Fishes were infected with E. tarda on the 32th day of rearing with a bacterial density of 108 CFU/mL, 0.1 mL/fish. The fishes were kept for the 46th day. The intestine and liver organs were fixed, dehydrated, embedded, cut, and stained with Haematoxylin and Eosin. The results of the study shown that in the Kp there was hemorrhage, necrosis, hypertrophy and vacuole degeneration occurred. The best result is P3 in the intestine there was necrosis, in the liver there was necrosis and hypertrophy. The survival rate of P3 was 86.66%. Based on the data, it can be concluded that fermented herbs enriched pellets can improve the structure of the intestine and liver of Pangasianodon hypophthalmus after being infected with E. tarda.
