ABSTRACT


The coaching program is the implementation of the prison's goals as a means of education and development. Onetypeof this program is independencedevelopment which aims to improve skills and produce PNBP for correctional institutions. This research was conducted to answer the problem of how the effectiveness of the independence development program carried out in the Pekanbaru women's prison in 2021-2023 is reviewed from PNBP and what types of activities contribute the most to PNBP in 2021-2023. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with primary and secondary data types obtained from the results of interviews with purposive sampling techniques and secondary data in the form of data on the final report of the Pekanbaru women's prison. Based on the results of this study, the independence development program of the Pekanbaru class II A women's correctional institution is reviewed from non-tax state revenue as an effective criterion. This is evidenced by the percentage comparison between the realization and the PNBP target for 2021-2023 prisons of 112.3 percent, which is classified as a very effective criterion, and the typeof activities in the independencedevelopment program that contribute the most to PNBP is the coaching of Tataboga with a percentage of 32 percent which is included in the criteria of being quite good and sewing coaching with a percentage of 30 percent which is included in the criteria of being quite good. The level of effectiveness of the coaching program and the program's contribution to PNBP illustrates the success of the Pekanbaru women's correctional institution in implementing the independence development program. This effectiveness and contribution also illustrates the improvement of the skills of the inmates in developing their potential and readiness when returning to the community.
