Pertumbuhan Dan Kelulushidupan Larva Ikan Baung (Hemibagrus Nemurus) Yang Dipelihara Pada Warna Latar Wadah Berbeda
This research aims to determine the effect of tank colour differences on survival and growth of H. nemurus larvae and identify of the optimal tank color for the growth and survival of these larvae. This study was conducted in September-October 2023 at the Breeding and Aquaculture Laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Riau University, Pekanbaru. The treatments in this study were: P1) clear as control; P2) black; P3) purple r; P4) green r; and P5) blue. The larvae were reared in the 15 L volume tanks with a density of 5 larvae/L for 40 days. Larvae were fed Artemia from day 3 to 10, and day 11 to 40 they were fed Tubifex. The results showed that larvae subjected to different container colors significantly differed (P < 0.05) in growth but did not affect the survival of H. nemurus larvae. The black tank (P1) had the highest specific growth rate of weight (2.26 ± 0.19 g/day, followed by P3 (purple tank 2.05 ± 0.06 g/day), P5 (blue tank 1.90 ± 0.09 g/day), P4 (green tank 1.75 ± 0.09 g/day), and P1 (clear tank 1.61 ± 0.05 g/day). The highest specific growth rate in length was also observed in the black tank (P2) 5.48 ± 0.28 cm/day, followed by P3 (purple tank 5.43 ± 0.16 cm/day), P5 (blue tank 5.20 ± 0.26 cm/day), P4 (green tank 4.90 ± 0.26 cm/day), and P1 (clear tank 4.53 ± 0.14 cm/day).
