PERAN TAMAN NASIONAL ZAMRUD TERHADAP PEREKONOMIAN MASYARAKAT DAERAH PENYANGGA DI KABUPATEN SIAK

The objectives of this research are (1) to determine the role of the Taman Nasional
Zamrud on employment opportunities in buffer areas in Siak Regency. (2) Knowing
the role of the Taman Nasional Zamrud in the development of community micro,
small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) in buffer areas in Siak Regency. (3)
Knowing the role of the Taman Nasional Zamrud on the level of community income
in buffer areas in Siak Regency. Data and research information were collected by
using interview techniques and direct observation of informants at the research
location. The informants in this research were the village head, forester, fishermen,
and traders who had sold at the national park location. The research method used
is descriptive-qualitative, with primary and secondary data. The type of research
used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. The results of the research show that
the role of the Taman Nasional Zamrud in employment opportunities in buffer areas
in Siak Regency is that there is no significant increase. The role of the Taman
Nasional Zamrud in the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises
(UMKM) in the buffer area communities in Siak Regency is that it has no influence
on the development of the UMKM of the communities in the buffer areas, and the
role of the Taman Nasional Zamrud in the income levels of the buffer area
communities in Siak Regency tends to decrease due to the strict regulations
regarding permits to enter Taman Nasional Zamrud
