ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA KELAS XI MIPA SMAN 8 PEKANBARU DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL MATERI SISTEM GERAK MANUSIA
21st century competencies require quality human resources who have critical thinking skills. Improving students' critical thinking skills requires designing learning models that support one of them, namely Problem Based Learning (PBL). SMAN 8 Pekanbaru is one of the favorite schools in the city of Pekanbaru which has used the PBL model in biology learning and the facts found in class During the learning evaluation, the teacher only gives students questions whose cognitive level is still low, C1, C2 and C3. To train students to think critically, this can be done by solving questions whose cognitive level is above C3. Students' ability to solve problems is still less visible from students' inability to analyze questions related to material on human movement systems in everyday life. Thus, it is not yet known whether students' critical thinking abilities have been achieved or not. No one has ever measured students' critical thinking abilities, so researchers need to do so.
The aim of the research is to determine the critical thinking abilities of class This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The population is all students in class XI MIPA SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. The research sample of class XI MIPA (1, 2 & 10) students was a total of 116 students. The research instruments used were 20 multiple choice written tests, 15 questionnaire statement items on factors that influence students' critical thinking abilities, 15 teacher interview questions. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis in the form of percentages of student answers.
The results of research on critical thinking abilities (KBK) of class XI MIPA students at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru have an average percentage of 51.28% in the medium category. The results of the analysis of students' critical thinking abilities in the human movement system material, the lowest indicator is interpretation with a score of 35.34%, which means the students' low ability to categorize the human skeleton, describe the various forms of bones and their functions and express ideas about other energy sources used in muscle working mechanism based on the information and energy source formulas for muscle working mechanisms

presented. In the medium category, namely explanation (47.41%), analysis (49.99%), self-regulation (57.46%), evaluation (57.75%), and inference (59.76%). Based on the research results, there are several factors that influence students' critical thinking abilities in human movement systems material with a high percentage category, namely anxiety (64.01%) and student interaction with teachers (60.24%). For aspects in the medium percentage category, namely physical condition (44.47%), motivation (41.81%), intellectual development (46.98) and aspects of learning independence (41.11%).
The conclusion of this research is that the critical thinking ability of class Factors that have an influence with high criteria are anxiety and student interaction with the teacher. The high level of student anxiety influences the decline in students' thinking abilities because it influences students' thinking. The high interaction factor between students and teachers can influence the development of students' critical thinking skills where teachers who are able to involve students in learning and create a conducive learning atmosphere can increase students' enthusiasm in the learning process so that students concentrate on solving the problems given.
