Gambaran Histopatologi Hati dan Ginjal Ikan Sepat Rawa (Trichogaster trichopterus Pall) yang Terinfeksi Parasit Trematoda Digenea (Clinostomum sp.)
Clinostomum sp. is a digenea Trematode can cause Clinostomiasis in fish (yellow grubs), with protrusions of yellowish metacercariae found in the fish body, gills, and visceral organs. This research was conducted in March to August 2024 at the Laboratory of Fish Parasites and Diseases, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University. The aim of the study was to analyze the structure of liver and kidney tissues of Trichogaster trichopterus Pall infected with Clinostomum sp. The method used is the purposive sampling., namely sampling at the location directly. Sampling was carried out at the reservoir of the Faculty of Fisheries, University of Riau. Reservoir sampling was carried out three times for 30 days with sampling points consisting of 4 locations, namely Location 1 is at the entrance of the reservoir, locations 2 and 3 are located to the West and North with a distance of each location 50 meters and location 4 is in the upstream flow of the reservoir. The results shown that of 135 fish observed, 99 fish were infected by Clinostomum sp. The infected fish had a total length between 8,6-12 cm. Based on the sexuality, the female fish (58.59%) with the number infected 58, more than in male (41.41%) with the number infected 41. Histopathological observations of the liver such as hemorrhage, necrosis, lysis, hypertrophy while in the kidney were hemorrhage, necrosis, hypertrophy, congestion, atrophy and fatty degeneration. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded the Clinostomum sp. infection can effect the structure of fish’s liver and kidney.
