Kemampuan Menulis Teks Tanggapan Siswa Kelas IX MTsN 1 Kepulauan Meranti

This research discusses the text writing abilities of class IX students at MTsN 1 Meranti Islands. This research aims to determine students' ability to write response texts. The object of this research is class IX students at MTsN 1 Meranti Islands with a total sample of 83 students. The research method used is quantitative with descriptive analysis techniques. The data collection technique used is a written skills test. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistical analysis techniques, data normality tests, and chi square tests. The results were not normally distributed with a significance of 95%. The average result of the response text writing ability of class IX MTsN 1 Meranti Islands students is 60.40 in the poor category.
