Identifikasi Makrofauna Penempel Yang Berasosiasi Dengan Mangrove Di Kawasan Marine Station Purnama, Dumai
This research was conducted in April 2024 located in the mangrove area of Marine Station University of Riau, Purnama Village, Dumai City, Riau Province. The objectives of the study were to identify the macrofauna attached associated with mangroves, determine the community structure of macrofauna attached associated with mangroves, and determine the difference in abundance of macrofauna attached associated with mangroves between stations in the study area. The method used was a survey method with the determination of the research location using purposive sampling method, so that 3 sampling stations were determined, each consisting of 3 plots. The results showed that the macrofauna attached associated with mangroves were obtained from the class of gastropods and crustaceans. Gastropods 11 species were Cerithidea cingulata, C. obtuse, Nerita articulate, Neritina violacea, Ellobium aurisjudae, Cassidula aurisfelis, Chicoreus capucinus, Littoraria scabra, Assiminea brevicula, Pythia plicata, and Platevindex coriaceus. And the Crustacean class only found 1 species were Balanus amphitrite. The average abundance of macrofauna attached at station 1 is 8,67 ind/m2, station 2 is 7,33 ind/m2 and station 3 is 3,67 ind/m2. The abundance of macrofauna attached between stations is significantly different with a significant value of 0.044 < 0,05. LSD further test showed that stations 1 and 2 and stations 2 and 3 were not significantly different while stations 1 and 3 were significantly different. The average value of the species diversity index obtained is 1,69, meaning moderate diversity. This means that the waters are not under pressure or the community structure of existing organisms is in good condition. The average dominance index value obtained is 0,22 which means there is no dominating species. The average value of the uniformity index is 0,88 which means that the uniformity of organisms in a water body is in a balanced state, there is no competition either for space or for food.
