Kepercayaan masyarakat Kota Jakarta Pada Praktek Perdukunan (Studi Kasus Jasa Dukun Sebagai Penglaris Dagangan)
This research aims to understand the social and economic conditions that underlie the use of shamanic services for business prosperity, as well as the motivations driving people to use such services. Through a case study using accidental sampling, this research found that economic pressures in business, social demands for success, and the motivation to get rich quickly, as well as following the experiences of others, are the reasons that drive people to use the services of shamans for business prosperity. This research uses a qualitative approach, involving in-depth interviews with a number of business people who have used the services of shamans for business prosperity. The results show that the pressure of business competition and difficult economic conditions have pushed small business actors in Jakarta to use the services of shamans to increase their income, especially because conventional methods are considered less effective. Economic, social, and traditional influences, as well as the success of others, are reasons for the belief in this spiritual power.
