The profession of a public accountant is considered a prestigious career option and an ideal goal for accounting graduates. However, there are several considerations that accounting students take into account when choosing their desired career path. This study aims to analyze the impact of adversity intelligence, gender understanding, work environment, and job market considerations on accounting students' interest in pursuing a career as a public accountant at Riau University. The population and sample for this study consisted of 255 undergraduate accounting students from Riau University, class of 2020 and 2021, with a focus on auditing, selected through probability sampling using simple random sampling techniques. This research employed quantitative data and data collection techniques through questionnaires filled out by undergraduate accounting students from the 2020-2021 cohort, with responses gathered via physical questionnaires distributed in the field. The results of data analysis using WarpPLS 7.0 show that, Adversity Intelligence significantly influences accounting students' interest in a career as a public accountant, Gender Understanding significantly impacts their career interest, Work Environment significantly affects their career interest, and Job Market Considerations significantly influence their interest in becoming a public accountant. The variables of adversity intelligence, gender understanding, work environment, and job market considerations account for 30.6% of the variance in accounting students' interest in a public accounting career, while the remaining 69.4% is explained by factors outside the scope of this study's model.
