Keragaman Genetik Dan Heritabilitas Beberapa Varietas Jagung Manis (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt) Pada Berbagai Dosis Abu Tkks Di Lahan Bergambut
This studyaims to obtain genetic diversity and inheritance patterns in several sweet corn varieties by applying various doses of EFB (Empty Fruit Bunch) ash on peaty land. This study used a group randomized design with 3 replications. The sweet corn varieties used consisted of 4 varieties, namely Bonanza F1, Kumala F1, Golden Boy F1 and Paragon F1. The doses of ash consisted of 4 levels, that is 0 t.ha-1, 1,5 t.ha-1, 3 t.ha-1 and 4,5 t.ha-1, planted on a 2 m x 1,5 m plot. The characters observed were male flower bloom time, female flower appearance time, plant height, stem diameter, harvest age, cob diameter without cob, cob length without cob, cob weight without cob, number of seed rows and sugar content in seeds. The results showed that varieties influenced all the characters observed, while the application of EFB ash influenced only the characters of male flower blossom time, female flower emergence time, cob length without cob, cob weight without cob and number of seed rows. Heritability values ranged from 56,62% – 97,25% for male flower bloom time, plant height, stem diameter, harvest age, cob diameter without cob, cob length without cob, cob weight without cob and sugar content in seeds.
