Motivasi Mahasiswa Mengikuti Kegiatan Sosial (Studi: Mahasiswa Yang Menjadi Relawan Dompet Dhuafa Volunteer Riau Di Kota Pekanbaru)

This research discusses the motivation of students who become volunteers of Dompet Dhuafa Volunteer Riau. Students are academics who occupy the highest ranks in the world of education in Indonesia, even though they have the busyness and responsibility to gain knowledge in the world of education, students must be useful for the community, one of which is to become volunteers because Indonesia is one of the countries that has a high level of generosity. This study aims to find out: 1) Motivation of students to become volunteers of Dompet Dhuafa Volunteer Riau. 2) Benefits of students becoming volunteers of Dompet Dhuafa Volunteer Riau. The method used is qualitative by collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The technique used in this study to determine the subject is purposive. The subjects of this study consisted of four people. The results of this study show that the motivation of students to become volunteers is the desire to achieve, increase relationships, and be powerful. The benefits obtained are practicing public speaking, being grateful for what you have so that it increases a sense of empathy, and getting inner satisfaction and feelings because helping others can increase the mood to be happy.
