Analisis Rantai Pasok Cabai Merah Luar Daerah Di Pasar Simpang Baru Panam Dan Pasar Pagi Arengka Kota Pekanbaru
The gap between production and consumption of red chili in Pekanbaru City resulted in the fulfillment of red chili consumption by sourcing from outside the region such as West Sumatra and North Sumatra. The supply of red chilies entering Pekanbaru City is distributed to various traditional markets including Pasar Simpang Baru Panam and Pasar Pagi Arengka. This research aims to determine the structure, mechanism, and marketing performance in the red chili supply chain in Pasar Simpang Baru Panam and Pasar Pagi Arengka. The research method used is the survey method with snowball sampling. Qualitative analysis is used to determine the structure and mechanism of the red chili supply chain, while quantitative analysis is used to determine marketing performance in the supply chain by calculating margins and marketing efficiency. The results showed that there were four channels in the supply chain of red chili outside the area in Pasar Simpang Baru Panam and Pasar Pagi Arengka which consisted of suppliers, wholesalers, retailers, and consumers. In each channel of the supply chain flows the flow of products, finance, and information. The research also shows that all channels in the supply chain are efficient with the most efficient channel found in channel I for chili from West Sumatera with a value of 2.56 and in channel III for chili North Sumatera with an efficiency value of 5.33.
